OPTILASE TECHNIKS OPENS

India’s First Laser Process Development Center
Although much of the laser-related R&D undertaken in India has been funded and developed under the auspices of the government, that trend has been changing over recent years and JK Lasers' long-standing distributor there, Optilase Techniks has moved into that circle of industry pioneers by opening the country's first Nd:YAG laser processing center in Chennai in 2003.

Hailed by the leadership of the Indian Welding Society as an important new step in the development of industrial laser processing in India The process Centre can handle all application of laser viz.,welding, cutting, drilling, cladding and heat treatment both 2D and 3D process can be done.

The Centre is equipped with a 6 axis Robot, 3 axis CNC , fibre delivered Pulsed YAG laser with 300w average power and 16kW We have a powder feed mechanism to do cladding application We have done many process for medical, automotive, aerospace , electronics ,steel and jewellery industries.
